Myth: Western countries have a free press that keeps people informed. The free press protects people if their government does not act in their best interest. The press will also inform citizens of a free nation, if rogue elements seize control of their government.  The media will provide citizens with the information needed to enact change.

Fact: The media is owned by corporations who pay lobbyists to put political parties in power through enormous media support. The media forms public perceptions, and operates within a matrix of control that shapes societal paradigms in the best interest of those who own and manipulate the media.
